The opening of the art exhibition "LOMYKAMIN': Women’s Resistance in Crimea"

Yesterday, our Head of Mission Danielle Bell, participated in the opening of the art exhibition "LOMYKAMIN': Women’s Resistance in Crimea," honoring the resilience of Crimean women in the face of adversity under occupation.

Ms. Bell noted that women and men who dared to express opposing voices or advocate for justice have faced repression, including unjust prosecutions and other punitive measures.

“Art serves as a powerful medium to depict the strength of Crimean women, showcasing their power, resilience, determination, and creativity in the face of adversity," she added.

Tomorrow, we will release a report marking ten years since Russia’s occupation of Crimea. In March, we will issue a report on the adverse impact of the occupation on Ukrainian territory seized since February 24, 2022.
