Today, our Head of Mission Daniele Bell spoke at an event titled “United for Justice. United for Heritage”, organized by the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine. The event focused on ensuring accountability for crimes committed by the Russian Federation against the cultural heritage of Ukraine.
Ms. Bell spoke about the measures, policies, and practices implemented by the Russian Federation that suppress Ukrainian culture and identity in occupied territory, including policies affecting children.
Our Mission is currently finalizing a report on the human rights violations in the occupied territory of Ukraine since the full-scale invasion, which will include a section on the measures that have affected Ukrainian culture and identity in the occupied territory.
