Our human rights lecture series at Ukrainian universities marking the upcoming Human Rights Day on 10 December continues. Over the past three days, our human rights officers have spoken to students and answered questions about human rights and about our work at universities in Lviv, Uzhhorod, Dnipro and Odesa. We have also shown the selection of videos that were submitted to our video contest on human rights this year. The events were well attended with young people showing strong interest in human rights issues and the impact the war has had on human rights in Ukraine.
The lectures are part of a broader effort to strengthen the knowledge of human rights among Ukraine’s youth in a year that marks the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. All the videos that participated in the video contest are available on our Instagram page.
