We took part in a recent conference in Kyiv focused on the importance of reparations for survivors of conflict-related sexual violence (CRSV).
Ukraine's First Lady Olena Zelenska told the gathering that urgent action was needed on this issue.
Another speaker at the conference, Prosecutor Anna Sosonska, who heads the CRSV Department in the Office of the Prosecutor General, noted that our reports are critical to bringing information about CRSV and the voice of survivors to the world’s attention.
Reparations for CRSV survivors and their families, including psychological and legal services, as well as upholding the rights to truth and justice are key parts of our advocacy work. We will continue to document and report on CRSV in Ukraine against women, men, boys, girls, and persons with diverse sexual orientations and gender identities.
