"Using AI for Human Rights, Gender Equality, Tolerance, Anti-discrimination"

Artificial intelligence is increasingly becoming a part of our lives, bringing new possibilities but also some risks.

Last week we joined a conference titled "Using AI for Human Rights, Gender Equality, Tolerance, Anti-discrimination." It was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and UN agencies in Ukraine, jointly with the NGO "Talents of AI Foundation."

We moderated a panel discussion dedicated to the use of AI in promoting human rights. Colleagues shared their experience at using AI to analyze the vast amount of open-source data relating to human rights violations in Russia’s war against Ukraine.

The event was part of a larger hackathon involving United Nations human rights and IT specialists. Its goal is to strengthen human rights protection and equality. Over a period of one month, participants will develop prototypes of programs and no-code solutions using neural networks and artificial intelligence.

The final part of the hackathon, when teams present their projects, will be held on 16-17 December.
